In short. FieldKaz is a professional application installed by the company that uses it, on its own server. Data entered in the app is sent to that server and stays there: the publisher operates no central service through which customer data would pass. No advertising, no advertising trackers, no data resale.
Publisher. CARAIBES DEVELOPPEMENT INFORMATIQUE — W. JEAN (Guadeloupe, France), [email protected].
Controller. FieldKaz is used by a company's staff with an account that company provides. The employing company is the data controller; the publisher acts as a processor, on the company's instructions, for installation and maintenance. No sign-up is possible from the app: without an employer-issued account, FieldKaz collects nothing.
Data processed. User account (login, name, optional e-mail, sales code, permissions); the company's business customer data (name, addresses, contacts, prices, outstanding balance, history), downloaded to the phone for offline work; field entries (price surveys including promotions, out-of-stock and competitor products, orders and quotes, visit reports, questionnaire answers); photos taken by the user and voice recordings attached to reports; GPS position, only when the user requests it, to place a customer on the map; server-side technical logs (date, account, operation) for security and troubleshooting.
Permissions. Camera (photograph a price tag, a shelf or a document; scan a product barcode), microphone (record a voice report, dictate a comment or a price), speech recognition (turn dictation into text), photos (attach an existing image, or save a photo taken in the app), location (place a customer on the map, on request only — never in the background, no movement tracking). Any permission may be denied; only the matching feature becomes unavailable.
On-device processing. Reading the price from a photographed tag and reading barcodes are performed on the phone by embedded recognition libraries. No image is sent to a third party for this.
Third parties. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap (the request sends the device IP address and the viewed area to the tile service); dictation uses the operating system's speech recognition (Apple or Google), which may process the audio on their servers depending on device and language; address lookup uses the system's geocoding services; Apple (App Store, TestFlight) and Google (Play) provide the publisher with aggregated install statistics, with no user identification.
Retention. On the server, retention is decided by the using company. On the phone, the app keeps the data needed for offline work and entries awaiting synchronisation; everything is erased when the app is uninstalled.
Security. Traffic between app and server is encrypted (HTTPS). Access is by named account with a hashed password; each salesperson sees only the customer scope their company grants them.
Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability are exercised with the company that issued your account, as data controller; the publisher assists it technically. Questions about the app itself: [email protected].
Minors. FieldKaz is a professional tool for staff of equipped companies. It is not directed at minors and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes. This policy may change with the application; the last update date appears at the top of this page.
